I’m a firm believer that it is never to late to start a new, healthy habit. The current crisis is no different. Now more than ever a healthy diet, exercise, time for yourself, etc are all very important. I adapted most of these habits when I started my oily journey a couple years ago. A couple are new now that I am in quarantine with two small children though! Having a healthy outlook on life is so important for ourselves and our children right now. I am trying to keep everything as normal as possible and these habits are helping. Healthy mind, healthy body = happy mama!
Daily Healthy Habits
Wake up before the kids to have a cup of tea before the craziness begins.
Get outside, every single day. Even if it’s raining I make it a point to sit on our covered porch for awhile.
Get dressed. I touched on this in my post on Monday. I feel better and more productive if I’m dressed. Sometimes this is just leggings and flip flops.
Have a hobby. I sell oils, run an online store, and love to garden. These are all things that I enjoy and are completely mine that give me time to myself.

Eat a balanced died. Now is not the time to go off your diet or start binge eating ice cream! Don’t get me wrong I like ice cream but it doesn’t like my butt. Everything in moderation.
Immunity Boosting Habits
Take a tablespoon of homemade Elderberry syrup.
Take your vitamins! I love Young Living’s line of vitamins. I take Super C, Super B, Super Cal Plus, and Life 9 Probiotic every single day.
Put Lemon Vitality in your water every morning for detoxing.
Roll Thieves on the bottom of feet twice a day. Thieves essential oil is a combination of Clove, Lemon, Cinnamon, Eucalyptus Radiata, and Rosemary essential oils and it is an immune supporting power house.
Feel a tickle in your throat? Gargle a drop of Thieves Oil in a tablespoon of water and then swallow. Another option? Use your little Thieves Spray right on the throat.
Diffuse Thieves! I have been diffusing Thieves and Stress Away non-stop.
Drink half your weight in ounces of water every day.
Mental Health Habits
Take a long bath several times a week.
Use oils such as Peace & Calming, Stress Away, White Angelica and Joy to boost your mood and provide a calming environment.
Get a good night’s sleep. My night time routine is very important to me. I put my sleepy oils in the diffuser 20 minutes before bed (Lavender, Orange, Cedarwood and Roman Chamomile). I have a weighted blanket that literally knocks me out. I roll Tranquil on my wrists and behind my ears and Thieves on the bottom of my feet. I do not take my cell phone to bed or even keep it in the same room as me.
I also do not watch the news anymore. It was too much for me. I limit my time on Facebook. My family keeps me informed of any pertinent information that I need to know about.
Self care! Since nail salons are closed take time to do your nails every week. Give yourself a facial. At least wash your face daily and have a skin care routine. Two of my must haves are this Glow Serum and this Under Eye Serum.
Having a clean home helps me stay sane. Literally. I make sure the kitchen is clean and the dishwasher is running before bed. Every morning I wipe down the counters and make my bed.
And most important – laugh and smile ALL.THE.TIME.
