Mom Style | Black & Blue

I seriously contemplated if I should share my outfits with you guys again. I only have three pairs of pants. A pair of blue jeans, these black jeans (that I basically live in) and a pair of black leggings. I own a closet full of jeans, they just don’t fit at the moment! Also, I haven’t bought myself new shoes in like 2 years. Last spring I splurged on a new pair of Vans but other than that all of my extra money goes into our house. We’ve had so many projects lately. Plus decorating an entire house is expensive! Then I started thinking about all the other moms that might be in the same position as me, a little extra baby weight (haha) and a small budget. So here we are! Awkward photos and all! You wouldn’t know I used to post outfits all the time by these poses. What do I do with my feet!?

Do you look in your closet and see a ton of the same colors? I do! It’s a whole lot of black, gray and blue! I noticed in a photo that I posted on Instagram last week that my clothes looked a lot like my home decor. I’m not even mad about it. I have a thing for ticking and french stripes. When I saw this button back top from PinkBlush it was a match made in heaven. I love that the back is long enough to cover my butt and flowy enough for the awful heat we’ve been having in Washington. Up until last month I didn’t like wearing sleeveless tops in public. If I had to deal with another month of 90 degree temps I would probably start wearing shorts too!

I’ve been wearing this outfit around the house with a pair of flip flops. The top is nice enough though that I can throw on my heels and call it a date night outfit. No need to change, unless I have some sort of foreign substance on me!

I’m really impressed with the quality of my recent PinkBlush purchases. I love how the simple addition of this top made all my old pieces feel fresh again! Now if it would just cool off I’d love to layer a long cardigan over it!
