This post was going to be about Parker’s outfit and a reason to share these cute pictures of her in the hay barn. Then I started thinking about our life here on the farm and I want to share a few things. First, I’d like to thank my father and mother-in-law again for letting us live here. The past 2 years being able to raise Parker here has been amazing. We are beyond blessed to call this our home. I’m looking forward to bringing Timothy home here in a couple of months. My MIL has been so great with Parker lately. Taking her shopping and letting her stay with her during ALL of my doctor appointments. I don’t know how I would’ve done this pregnancy without her!
And now a little update! Parker will no longer be able to say she lives in a barn (or technically above a barn!). We are in the process of remodeling Luke’s grandparent’s home that sits just to the right of where we currently live. They unfortunately had to move to a home after his grandpa had a stroke back in April. I hate the reason why we are getting the house is because they are gone but grateful none the less. Parker misses her GiGi and still asks to go over to see her. Fortunately, they aren’t that far away so we can visit whenever we like.
We have a lot of plans for that little farm house so I hope you’ll follow along on our journey! I posted a little update on Instagram last night and I’m going to start using the hashtag #afdemfarmhouse. It’s going to be a slow process since I’m pregnant. But coming up in the next few weeks is a wall being built, new hardwoods and carpet, and new paint. After that kitchen and bathroom counters. Plus, a brand new big girl bedroom for Parker. I’m really excited about her room. I can’t wait to share!
This girl loves life on the farm and I can’t imagine our life any different anymore. Living so far out used to drive me crazy. I missed the city and being 5 minutes from Target but I’ve since gotten used to the drive and it doesn’t even phase me anymore! So here’s to raising my babies in the most beautiful place! I’m looking forward to our future here.
Anybody have experience with remodeling? I’d love any tips. It already appears my husband and I can’t agree on anything! Being pregnant and emotional doesn’t help either!

First off… ADORABLE! Second, I wish you the best with remodeling and baby and all. I have no experience remodeling so, no advice. We purposely bought a home in “ready to live in shape,” because I KNOW I would not handle remodeling well : b
Cute photos. She’s so darling. Looks like she’s having a ball.
I think you’ll miss it!
She is so adorable! I love the pigtails and the little bow!
Her outfit is adorable. And so is she!! I love both Old Navy and Target.
It’s crazy how much you get used to living one way (suburbs) and feel like you’ve found you’re place when you are placed into another lifestyle! Your little one is SO adorable too!
I love Target! Your daughter is super cute. Good luck with the remodeling. I would say just try to concentrate on one project at a time-otherwise it becomes too overwhelming both emotionally and financially.
She is so extremely adorable. I am in love with her outfit!
She is so adorable! I’m excited for you guys, even if the reason you’ll be “moving” is not ideal.
How exciting to be moving into a new space (and that’s so great you guys can still visit Luke’s grandparents!). I’m sure they’re happy their house is going to a great family!
