DIY Growth Chart

 I love a good, easy do-it-yourself project. Especially one as cute as this growth chart! I’d seen similar projects on Pinterest and thought it looked like so much work. Little Acorns By Ro growth chart vinyl decal kits make the project so easy! It was a several day project, since the stain had to dry but I’d say any novice do-it-yourself’er could tackle this.

What you need:
1×8 pine board, cut to 6′ tall
stain or paint
Paint brush (or old sock if you’re like me!)
Little Acorns By Ro decal kit
Tape Measure
Pencil
Credit Card or squeegee

Our board came 8′ feet long, so I had hubby cut it to 6′. I stained the board to match some other projects in our house. Since the stain is a little on the dark side, I used an old sock to apply it and then quickly wiped it off with a clean sock. I like the rustic look it achieved!

I waited 2 days for the stain to completely dry and then applied the decals. I read the instructions through 2 or 3 times to make sure I didn’t mess it up. The first step is to map it out using a pencil and your tape measure, then you’ll apply the strips of tick marks. After you squeegee all those down, you’ll map out where you want the numbers and then apply them. Easy peasy! I received the Loved Beyond Measure add on decal and forgot to apply it. Opps!

I love how it turned out though! I added it to a little gallery wall we have in our living room. Parker loves standing in front of it!
