Welcome to the August edition of The Daily Dime! This is our third month and I’m so enjoying documenting a day in our lives. Last month I promised to share a day in my life as a stay at home mommy blogger. How I get work done, etc. Well that didn’t work out since I had a ton of errands to do on the day I decided to photograph (yesterday because I’m a procrastinator!). So here it is, 10 photos from our Tuesday…
8:45 AM – Fed, dressed and ready to tackle our errands! Ariel in tow. Parker just got this Soapsox Ariel in the mail on Monday and she has been obsessed with it! I’ll be talking about it here on the blog soon. Our first stops are the bank, the coffee stand and the gas station.
10:00 AM – Next up is the diabetes clinic to pick up my new blood glucose monitor. I was finally diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes last week after I had passed 3 – 1 hour tests. I took the 3 hour test and failed miserably. We all knew I had it so I’m not sure why it took so long to figure it out! I had GD with my last pregnancy so this diet and monitoring is nothing new. I just have to watch my sugar and carb intake first thing in the morning and I’m usually fine.
10:30 AM – Our next stop is Walmart for TUMS (because PREGNANT) and dog food. We also priced a microwave for the new house and walked down the baby aisles. I feel like there is so much to buy for little man but I just haven’t. Maybe I’m in denial that he’s coming next month? We have no diapers. I guess everything else can wait. He has a bed and plenty of clothes. Plus lots of love already!
11:15 AM – Since we’re an hour from home and still have grocery shopping to do, a quick trip through the McDonald’s Drive-Thru!
11:30 AM – A pink frosted cinnamon roll for my shopping helper. No she doesn’t eat like this everyday!!
2:30 PM – After I get the groceries put away, I try for an hour to get this wildling to take a nap. Unsuccessful, we decide to head outside to play and wait for daddy to get home. She wanted to go swimming but the pool needed to be cleaned out so we compromised and the Barbies got to go swimming in the water table.
4:00 PM – When Luke got home we went over to the new house to do a little work. He got my new kitchen light installed on Sunday. It looks a lot prettier in person! The hardwood floors get started tomorrow and should finish up by early next week and then all we are waiting for is carpet in the bedrooms. Oh and we have to pick out a new dishwasher, buy Parker a bed, pick up our new dining room table, install all the hardware in both bathrooms, and move! All while extremely pregnant. I’m not stressing about it, I’m not stressing about it, I’m not…
4:30 PM – We “help” Luke install the ceiling fan in Parker’s new room. Then it’s time to clean up for dinner. Luke BBQs chicken while I fold and put away two loads of laundry and setup my new glucose monitor. We eat and by the time I have the kitchen cleaned up it’s 7!
7 PM – Parker and Ariel get a bath. We play and read books for a little while and by 8:15 she’s asleep in bed. Thank goodness bedtime wasn’t a struggle. I had all these photos to upload and a blog to write! It’s now after 10 PM and I’m crawling in bed.

Looks like you had a lovely day! Parker is so cute, love her little toys x
Parker is seriously the cutest thing EVER.
Thanks Kristin! I think so too 🙂 I might be a little biased though!
Looks like a fun day, especially the doughnut part!! Haha 🙂
Thanks Erin! Donuts are always a good idea 🙂
Gosh, she is just so cute! I love her red hair.
Thanks Stacey! I’m pretty obsessed with her red hair myself 🙂
What a fun day! I had GD with both of my kiddos too. I hope you have a great rest of your week!
It’s no fun testing myself but it could be worse! Just a few weeks left 🙂
I LOVE seeing how people spend their days. You’re a busy momma! As long as someone gets you some diapers for your little one, it sounds like you have the basic necessities so I wouldn’t fret lol.
Thanks Virjinia! I’m definitely trying NOT to fret 🙂
Such a super cute idea for a link-up! And i love your new kitchen light!
Thanks Larissa! It’s a fun link-up!
