We’ve been spending all our time outside lately! Whether it be camping, playing in the pool or gardening. The warmer the weather gets the worse the bugs get! For some reason those little buggers are attracted to me. I’ll be outside with a bunch of people and I’m the only one getting bit! No more. Enter these DIY essential oil insect repellant sprays. Most insect repellant sprays on the market include DEET or synthetic chemicals/fragrances to keep bugs away. We don’t want that around our littles!
There’s a recipe here for everyone. The grand daddy with ALL the oils, the standard, a patchouli spray, and a kid-safe spray. I personally use the spray with all the oils on everyone in my family. I made sure it has at least one oil from each category in this handy-dandy list (make sure you Pin it for later!).

To make
Because essential oils don’t mix well with water, start by adding them to 2 oz of unscented witch hazel. This will disperse the oils in the liquid. Add 2 oz of water and pour into a 4 oz spray bottle. Or head to my shop and grab my bottle! They are slightly smaller but I use the same amount of drops.
To use
Shake well before use. Spray on clothes and exposed skin before going outside.
