Does anyone else feel like I’ve been pregnant FOREVER? No, just me? This face says it all! This face also says my maternity clothes aren’t going to fit for another 3.5 weeks! HA. I mentioned last week that I’m packing this floral PinkBlush Maternity sweatshirt in my hospital bag for my going home outfit. I’ve also been wearing it a ton because it fits and it’s cute. The only things that are still fitting are my PinkBlush items. I’m so thankful for the partnership I’ve had with them throughout this pregnancy! They’ve kept me looking cute and feeling great. I just ordered a couple more items to wear around the house while I’m recovering from my c-section. I’ll share those with you soon!
If you follow me on social media you probably saw that I had a ton of doctor appointments last week. 4 to be exact. 2 non-stress tests + visits with the MD, an ultrasound at maternal fetal medicine + an hour long chat with the doctor about my conditions and a follow up to check my blood pressure. Phew. This is what I know: the polyhydramnios (extra fluid) is gone! I now look like a regular pregnant person not a giant. Timothy is clocking in at 6 lbs 14 oz at 35 weeks. That’s more than what Parker weighed at birth at 38.5 weeks! The tech also said he had a lot of hair! Do you think it will be red??
My blood pressure is climbing day by day. Last Thursday they decided to put me on a low dose of the blood pressure medicine Labetalol. The good news is that there is no protein in my urine yet so no preeclampsia. My doctor said the more that they allow me to walk around with high blood pressure the more likely I am to develop preeclampsia sooner. They are trying to get me to at least 37 weeks, when the baby’s lungs are more likely to be fully developed. I made it to 38.5 weeks with my daughter so hoping for that again!
My gestational diabetes is not quite under control but they are not putting me on medication for that just yet. My numbers are just slightly high. They have me waking up at 2 am for a protein snack. Can’t say I mind so much because I wake up every hour to pee anyway!
Speaking of peeing, if I wait longer than 45 minutes to an hour to go I get the worst contractions! Also, if he kicks in just the right place I feel like I’m going to pee myself. So that’s fun!
Do you have any tips for surviving the last couple weeks of pregnancy? I’m trying to keep myself busy with home projects. I still find myself constantly
thinking worrying about my upcoming c-section. The last one I didn’t have time to think about. It was wam bam get that baby out. This time I’ve had nine months to really think about. My anxiety levels are getting higher by the day! I’m sure that can’t be helping my blood pressure.

I can’t believe you are 36 weeks already! That’s so exciting!
Woohoo! Just a couple more weeks 🙂
I know you’ve had a rough go of it, but you really look great Kerry!!!
Thanks Patty! Just so ready to meet him 🙂
Good luck with the blood pressure issues! I had postpartum preeclampsia (which I didn’t even know was a thing!), and it got pretty scary, especially with a newborn. Blood pressure stuff is no joke! Good thoughts and prayers that yours is under control and he stays put as long as he needs to!
Girl, you look fabulous!
