I made it to the third trimester! I’m still calculating weeks based on the due date my doctor gave me originally – which is October 16th. Baby boy is measuring about a week and a half ahead which puts him right about where I thought my due date would be based on my last period (Oct 7th). My uterus is currently measuring 38+ weeks thanks to the polyhydramnios. Since I have hypertension and a history of pre-eclampsia my doctor mentioned I would be scheduled for a c-section two weeks early. At this point I have no idea when that will actually be! There has been so many dates thrown at me. I’m hoping for a more concrete answer and schedule at my appointment next week. I start bi-weekly appointments next week and I finally get to meet my new doctor! I’m still sad the doctor that delivered my daughter moved her practice but she highly recommended this other one. I’m sure I’ll be in good hands!
I’ve been seeing the Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist every 4 weeks to monitor my fluid levels. It hadn’t gotten any worse at my appointment last week so I’m just dealing with it. Being this large, this early sucks. It’s hot and I’m uncomfortable 90% of the time. Everything hurts. I’m sure I’m a joy to be around! You can see it in my face in these pictures. HA.
Even though I’ve tested negative twice already for gestational diabetes, I have to retake the test again this week. I really hope this is the last time I have to drink the nasty orange drink!
Everything else is about the same. I have heartburn daily, pee a lot, and don’t sleep worth a darn. But that all comes with being pregnant! We’ve been collecting things for the baby over the last few months but I still have a list of things to buy and do. I scored an awesome solid wood changing table for $15 so we are in the process of stripping it and re-staining it. We need diapers, bath supplies, and a few other little things but other than that I feel prepared. As prepared as I can feel with a remodel and move ahead of us yet next month!
As much as I hate to say it, I’m ready for fall and cooler weather! PinkBlush started stocking some late summer/early fall pieces and I’m in love! This floral chiffon cold shoulder top is the perfect transition piece. It’s lightweight and breezy. Plus, it’s so pretty!
Any other pregnant mamas out there? How are you holding up this summer?
You are getting so close! I hope you get that due date soon. I bet you are so excited! Love that top on you-it’s beautiful!
I think you look gorgeous and I would NEVER know that you are uncomfortable from these pictures. You really do look lovely.
And yes! I just snagged a giant knit kimono from PB that looks like it will be perfect for the postpartum/fall/early baby days. I’m super excited for it to get here!
Also, I’m kind of a weirdo and like the orange drink haha! I had this cola flavored one with Abigail which WAS gross, but I’ve enjoyed the orange drink the last two times lol.
Kerry, you are darling. Everything crossed this is your last encounter with the orange drink this pregnancy.
Thank you! I hope so too!
You look AMAZING, and I’d never know you were retaining fluid or whatever you called it…I just took that STUUUPID gestational diabetes test yesterday and I am super hoping the results are negative because with Aiden I failed and had to do the 3-hour test, which SUCKED. (You can tell I’m totally not bitter, right? 😉 )
I hope you pass! I had gestational diabetes with my last pregnancy so they are sure I have it again. Not sure why I passed last time!
